I have a college with an option 61c that is getting ready to implement PS-ALI on their switch. They are using PRI for all of their incoming and outgoing trunks. They don't use DID's, all calls are transferred by the 2 attendant consoles.
The customer is just about to hand us the PC with the system-wide database that we will upload to the 911 router's database computer.

The customer has the emergency services package on their switch and PRI. According to everything that we have been told, if the customer has these 2 things then this should be a breeze.

Well, unfortunately none of us have ever done it. We don't know where to begin. Could someone let me know how to set this up?

They also want an on-site notification set up on the security office phone.

Please help.

thanks

Add the OSN key to the Security phone

LD 24
Req: New
Type: ESA
ESDN: 911
ESRT: <-- enter PRI route
DDGT: 911
DFCL: <-- primary 10 digit number
OSDN: prime DN of Security desk

CLID
for ESA_apdn = yes

Test call - you will see dialed DN info on TTY- that needs to match ALI info

thanks for the osn info. That was simple enough. Now to the other part. I have consulted with our tech support group who had me make a change to the HLCL and DIDN fields in the CLID information (using LD 21).
When a test call is made, we are seeing information pop up with a 911 call alert on the terminal. The info says that we are sending the digits NXX-YYYY, where the NXX is the local prefex and the YYYY is the DN of the phone that called 911. The 911 operator says that she is seeing the primary number for the college on her display and nothing about my extension number.
Tech support says that this is correct. He says that the PBX is absorbing the last 4 digits of the calling number so it is only showing up on the terminal as a 7 digit number, the NXX and the DN number. He assures me that when the PS-ALI database is uploaded to the HP3000 database server in the CO they will see the calling DN's room number and a map of the college with the room number highlighted.

I hate to not trust our tech support, but this particular guy has led me astray quite a few times.
