Hi,

This will be an easy question for most of you. Our consultant deleted our back up jobs and asked me to add new ones in. I have added the new back up jobs but am unable to add a pruning job in. We used to back the pruning set up to prune the database before the back up jobs ran every night. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set that back up. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Amy

Open arcserve server admin...

Pull down the admin menu and choose configuration...

Goto the database engine tab

Check

1)Enable database pruning &
2) Submit database pruning now .

Then you should have the prune job...

Databasebaba

How often are all of you Pruning?

We prune nightly, but I want to prune less. What is a reasonable interval?

Our backups are full, every night. They take about 20gigs.

Thanks

You can set the prune job to prune all information that is older than xx days. You cannot schedule the prune job to run only once a week. Whatever your prune job settings are set, the prune job itself will run EVERY day ( or night )

regards
