Hello Everyone,

I have a problem with IE. when i lauch IE am getting nothing because my browser is looking for my proxy server. i no longer have a proxy server running. when i remove the proxy settings from the INTERNET OPTIONS menu i can use my browser with no problem until i restart my computer or log off my computer.

Once i removed them(proxy settings) arent they supposed to stay off?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

It sounds to me like you have a group policy enforcing the proxy settings every time you log on to the machine.

Check your active directory if you are on a 2000 domain or the policy in your Scritps folder if you are on NT4.

currently there are no group policies being applied to these machines, and the machines that had group policies the setting was removed IN the policy.
