Hello all,
I am totally new to Linux so any help will be much appreciated. My company has decided to try linux by using it as a proxy server. Basically where do I begin. We are using Linux 7.3 that was installed on a server for us already (Dell). We basically want to put the Linux server in a DMZ to cover our Citrix NFuse server, OWA, and Website. We have 3 NIC's on the server and two Checkpoint XP Firewalls. This project has about a 2-3 month deadline since they know that I know nothing about Linux. Thanks again.

Check out squid and socks.

IMO two or three months won't cut it for you to be
able to reasonably learn enough about linux
to be able to administer and tshoot problems well.
I'd think about having some consultants in for help
till you start to get the hang of it.

Thanks for the quick response marsd. I don't even intend to master Linux in 2-3 months(don't think it would possible unless I spent all day everyday on it). I just want to be able to set it up as a proxy server. I think I will definately ask for a consultants help on this. Thanks again.
