Proxy Server Squid and DNRD questions

I have setup a proxy server on Fedora Core 3. I do not see the Proxy performing DNS lookups through the firewall (but this is not a firewall issue) although both Squid and DNRD are running.

Is there any test I can run to check out the squid configuration and DNRD setup or force DNS lookups?
