Proxy Server Settings Removed

I have a user that is constantly having to reset their proxy settings. Something is happening to his pc that is causing the settings to be cleared when he reboots. The only unusual thing that he has is AOL. He will access it from home using a dial-up connection. I suspect this is the cause but cannot find any info on it. I looked around on AOL's web site but I didn't see anything about proxy settings being cleared automatically. Anybody have any other ideas. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a similer problem with Outlook express. It changes the incomeing POP 3 address from 192.168.0.21 to local host and appends the user name with the the ip address that local host replaced.

It does this in the middle of getting mail sometimes too.

That is exactly how many antivirus and/or anti-spam programs work.
