Proxy Server Resilience

Hi There

Investigating whether it is possible to have redundant proxy servers to improve the availability in the event of a loss of one of our two internet connections. Currently we have windows 2000 clients with IE6 pointing to a single proxy server. Is it possible to have a list of proxies that the clients can point to. Or is there any software out there which you can point the client browser to which then deals with multiple proxies ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you probably want to look into creating a wpad.dat or proxy.pac file that lists the servers in order, then make sure that each client has this as their automatic configuration script.
