Proxy Server Recommandations

I was hoping to get a good proxy server recommandation from you guys. Never used one before but looking to keep my downloading private. Any suggestions? It seems like for a good one I'll need to pay but any free solutions? I'm expecting to pay though.

for windows free.... and simpre analogX proxy,
for windows good but comercial wingate,isa server,winroute
