We have an issue with a website that uses java components. FOr users to make use of these components they have to install the Java Runtime engine v1.3 plus two *.jar files.
In most network configurations the java components work fine. However on networks running MS Proxy 2.0 there are problems.
in most cases these can by circumvented by setting the site to bypass the proxy on first use which allows the java components to work fine. subsequent uses work perfectly through the proxy afterwards when the bypass is taken off.
However this fix does not seem to work on all occasions. I have trawled the MS knowledgebase and found nothing about any such problems.
We have tried fiddling around with the proxy server but nothing done has any impact.
Can anyone help.
cheers
