I have a new Windows 2000 Pro client logged into our domain.
We have Proxy Server 2.0 which is on a Member server.
It has 2 NIC cards. One NIC goes to the Network the other is connected to the DSL modem.
I have the Proxy client installed on my W2K pro PC.
Every once in a while I see a note Pop up, down next to the clock in the system tray that says the Internet is disconnected.
I also notice the PC seems to hang when this happens.
This only happens 2-3 times a day and only lasts for 20-30 seconds.
Are there any notes on this and any fixes ????
I suspect this is the reason why others PC’s in the building from '98 to NT4 to W2K machines, experience problems with sluggish-ness and slowness.
TIA
