Hello,
I have setup a GPO for use by WinXP Pro clients running IE6 and IE7. This GPO will force them to use a non-existent proxy server address, thus blocking their internet access. I am also populating the proxy exclusion list as method of allowing some sites. The problem is that my list is too long and the GPO will not apply. I know that if I use a very short list, it applies just fine.

I do not know what the magic number is. Does anybody know how many characters can be in this list?

Thanks

I figured it out. The length of the list is not the issue. The issue is that the list cannot contain a / or \ character.

Hope this helps somebody.
