When in the office on my laptop I want Internet Explorer to use the Proxy Cache Server through the network. When I go home and dial up to the Internet I dont want to use the Proxy Cache. A can do this manuallly by turning the proxy server on and off but is there anyway to automatically configure IE to do this?

Do you mean that you dial up to the Proxy server in work when you are at home???
Any way, what might work for you is a setting that can be changed in IE, so you dont have to go near the proxy at all....
Go to Tools->Internet Options and in the General tab click on the Settings button for Temporary Internet Files. In here you see an option to check for new versions of stored pages, either Every Visis to the Page, Every Time you start IE, Automaticly and Never...the one you want to select for Home use is Every Visit To The Page......and for in work select Never or Automaticly. Never Obviously will never check for new pages.... Jay~

My new Tae Kwon Do website is up and running!!

Goto Tools>Internet Options>Connections.

Under Dial up settings, clear the proxy settings from the dial up entry you are using for internet access.

Since you are using a network connection at work, click on Dial whenever a network connection is not present on the connections dialogue. It is normally set to Never dial a connection.
