I had my PIX 515e configured by an outsource about 6 months ago. I recently went to the Cisco PIX training and the teacher told us that using proxy arp was not always a good practice.
I went into my PIX disabled proxy arp in all interfaces and everything stopped working. I couldn't get to my perimeters nor to the internet. I had to put the proxy arp back again.
Does anyone knows whether it is true that using proxy arp is not safe? If its true, anyone knows what changes I need to do on my configuration?
