proxy-arp on 3750

I am splitting my flat network in to vlans using 3750G-24TS running 12.2(20)SE1 at the core. All the rest of the network is mainly Dell and some Cisco L2 switches. Is it a good idea to disable proxy-arp on 3750? My logic is that with proxy-arp enable someone by simply changing the subnet mask can jump the vlan boundary.
