Hi,

I have proxy and exchange 5.5 on the same server using an ISDN dial up connection.

For some reason every now and then users can`t send or receive email attachments. The email is fine just loses the attatchment even though the files are small. No limits are set up for size anyway.

I just wondered if it was something to do with users browsing the net while exchange is trying to send email?

can exchange and proxy use the line at the same time?

thanks in advance

jono
PS clients have WSP installed and are using outlook 2000

You may have limited bandwidth but it should work fine just take a little longer. You may want to check on the exchange server and see if there is a limit on attachment size or something that may be why it is dropping them. I would say your problem is with exchange and has nothing to do with proxy.

Hi I found this Little Note

Proxy Server 2.0

Microsoft Proxy Server has been discontinued. But you can still find detailed product information, downloads, and support options that will help you get the most out of your Proxy Server installation. You can also move to ISA Server. ISA Server goes far beyond Proxy Server by delivering a full-featured enterprise firewall and a high performance Web cache server.
