We are in the process of converting from Netware/groupwise to NT/exchange. First step is to backup all users email/contacts/calendar, etc. I need to gain proxy access to all teacher computers in district. Do I have to go around to each teachers machine and grant proxy access individually? Or is there somewhere in console one that I can quickly grant myself access? Thanks

You can change the users' passwords and grant proxy access to an account without visiting each machine. If they're still using the Novell client they probably won't notice unless they use Webaccess.

I recall doing this a few years ago, and the migration wizard used a proxy account to access the GW system and import mail into Exchange. Setting a single proxy user acct. makes it easy to process mailboxes in batches.

Some of the GW-specific sites, like caledonia.net, might have a tool to create a proxy in multiple systems. I think I've seen such a thing advertised there.
