Hi Guys

When I am trying to open a table in SQL Server 7.0
I am getting error "Provider not found. It may not be
installed properly." What could be the problem.
I am not able to see the data in a table. I can able to
open design table. But I am not able to open table.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Make sure MDAC is properly installed for the machine from where you are trying to connect.

If a driver or provider is missing, the technology you are using to connect is not present on the requesting machine.

You may also need to install the SQL servicepacks if you have not done so already.

Remember that SQLServer Manager is using ODBC for connection, and not ADO. If the message is that it cannot find the 'provider', it sounds like you are trying to connect with SQLOLEDB.1 provider ??. That would indicate you need to install the latest MDAC to get ADO onto that machine.
