Every so often I will be working, or playing, and the computer seizes up, and repeats the last command given several hundred times. ex if I just told it to open a folder, I end up with 500 open windows of that folder. Then, one of two things happens:

1) the screen goes black, then to the blue error screen, which says something about "an error has occoured and windows has been halted for protection. You must restart your computer." or

2) windows returns to its opperating mode, with the 500 folder windows open, which, if I want to do anything, I need to close all of them, because they take up so much memory.

I am running a new Gateway 933Mhz pIII, with 256Mb of ram.

thanks in advance, theEclipse
