I need to let several people have read-only access to Visio diagrams. I only want to let certain people make changes to these diagrams. I am using Visio 2000. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Paul

A couple of thoughts...
If the people you want to have read-only access should not update ANY Visio diagrams, give them the Visio Viewer instead of Visio.
Another possibility is to put the diagrams in a shared folder with read-only access given to those people who need to look but not touch.

-In Visio click on View the choose Drawing Explorer.
-That will open a new window.
-Right-click on <Filename>.vsd and choose Protect Document.
