My word XP is very strange, I installs it normally and after 1 month approximately it protects all the archives against edition, hindering me to create new archives and to edit old... you can help me?

thanks,

Ricardo

It sounds like something that happens when you don't activate your version of OfficeXP. I remember hearing something about OfficeXP not letting you edit or create after the 30 day activation grace period. Someone else will have to tell you how to activate a version that has "expired", since I have not migrated from 2000.

Please look at articles Q302878, Q293191 and Q300273 at If you type the article number in the search field on the left and click Go, it will take you there.

Hi There, It sounds like you need XP Office service pack 1. There seems to be an issue writing to the same file name in the first release.
