just use any pot (potentiometer) you know a volume control type device . anything 10k to 100k should work. Don't worry about impedance mismatch it will work fine. Cost you a buck at the local surplus store or $3.00 at radio shack. Done it may times.As an alternative just use the earphone jack and turn down the volume. That works fine too.
