i have prosignia 200 pii/300 sbs (all with latest bios and sysconfigutil) with w2k sp2. i just bought fasttrack 133 tx2 ultra ata pci ide controller from promise.
the card didnt recognized at POST (the manufacturer said there should be some kind of BIOS screen appear for a few seconds-like vga bios). but it didnt, just vga and compaq bios.
in the sysconfigutil it recognized as "pci mass storage controller", only that. when i attached a seagate drive, it didnt appear at sysconfigutil and there is a preliminary warning that sysconfigutil cannot write on the disk attached.
w2k recognize the card and put the driver needed, but after installing a hard drive on the controller, w2k hang when loading.
can anybody explain what went wrong? please...
other spec :
proc : pentium ii 300
ram : 160 mb edo
vga : tnt2 m64 16mb pci
sondcard : creative vibra 128 pci
hard drive : 20 gb seagate st320011a baracuda and 8.4 gb seagate st32410 U8
