I have already downloaded the latest BIOS from the manufacturer. Here my details :
Compaq Prosignia 200 Server (use as Workstation)
P05 BIOS, date 04/19/2002
System Configuration Utility 4.58A
Pentium II 300
Compaq Intel 440FX Motherboard LPX Form Factor
160 MB EDO RAM
Riva TNT2 16MB PCI VGA
Creative Vibra 128 PCI sound card
Seagate ST320011A 20GB
Win2K showed 19 GB but SysConfigUtil only 8.4 GB
Could it be a damage from the BIOS chip? or CMOS battery is already low? Thanks

Goto the following Seagate link and check out the BIOS Limitations section:

The "Overcoming the 8.4Gb barrier" is the one to look at. -----------------------------------------------------

i contact the compaq support, they only tell me that they dont support third party harddrive? is there anyone here that buy harddrive directly from compaq? did they equip the hard drive with a special driver such as configuration utility? any utility i should download? thanks

Er.... did you read the link I posted? Don't mean to be funny but it explains all you need to do and the config utility you need to download. -----------------------------------------------------
