I'm just curious if anyone knows off the top of thier head the goods and bads of switching GW to remote instead of locally. I'm not expecting a 5 page story or anything, just a few helpfull hints I can go on and investigate...

Maybe a link to another page that could help me would be great!!! Thanks for any info you may have..
BTW: I'm in a company with 18 sites, 70 users, and only one server...
Thanks everyone.. Knowing everything about pc's would be like knowing everything about women! Why do they do the things they do???

The only problem I have with GroupWise Remote is the need to syncronize the entire Mailbox each time the User dials in. I like having things a bit more real-time.

You should look into using GroupWise WebAccess instead. That way, instead of your Users having to Dial-in from who-knows-where and incurring high phone charges, they could attach to the Internet via a local ISP number and gain access to their mail via their Web Browser.

If these 18 sites are all connected via a WAN, you could do the same as above, just internally.

Good Luck!
