Not quite a Mitel problem but I guess it's related seeing that SME Server was bought by Mitel then given back to the community [smile]

First of all do you have a backup of the sme server as it would be easier to restore from backup.

If not then:::
1 - external ip is not assigned to sme server in server only mode. Your external IP is your router and you would normally have port forwarding to the sme server.
2 - Your gateway will normally be your router.
3 - If you connect a PC to your network and get assigned an IP address and can connect to the internet then I would leave it disabled.
4 - In Server only mode you only need 1 network card but there is no reason why you can't have more.

I would have a look how the Cisco router is programmed as it should give you an idea on what the IP address the old sme server was and if you are looking at port forwarding or something else.
