I've been using Office 2003 until a few weeks ago and now I'm using 2010. I used to be able to open the properties window when I was working on forms in "Form View" which I found very helpful for getting everything looking good. Now it appears they have revoked this useful feature and you can only access the properties when in "Design View". Is this correct, or is there still a way to get it to work?

No Layout view? Layout view in '07, at least, allows you to see the form as it would look in "form view", but you have some of the control of Design view.

If you can't see layout view, make sure that layout view is allowed in the form properties (while in design view).

I tested 2010 when it was in beta, but didn't spend more than 10 or 15 minutes looking at all the apps, so I can't say for sure whether '07 and '10 line up on the form/layout/design views.. but I would imagine they do.

Thanks, the terminology "Layout View" is what I needed. I don't have 2003 here now to verify, but I don't think they had that in the 2003 version, you were just able to use the properties window in Form View. This Layout View is just as good. Thanks.

Another thing I'm finding it 2010 that I'm not liking is that I don't seem to be able to multiple object simultaneously, because of the tab system they use. Is there a way to disable the tabs?

BTW, there are several MS Access forums like forum702 & forum703 and many more.

Skip,

for a NUANCE![tongue]

Oh yeah, I didn't think about this being an Access-specific question... or else I forgot I was in the MS Office forum. [blush]
