Properties sheet is blank

Colleagues, this is really frustrating! VS 2019 IDE differs so much from VS 2012 (let alone from VS 6.0, which I used to teach in college in late 1990s) that the simplest things, like the one in subject, present real roadblocks for the "dinosaurs" like me!

I added a label to a form, and I need to change this label's properties (well, obviously!) So, why the properties sheet is blank? Where do I go to make it show the object's properties?
For that matter, the Properties sheets for all the objects already on that form are now blank.
Please advise.

There was a bug like this ... hang on ... yep, found it:

The suggestiojn there is to make sure you have latest update of VS2019, which is I believe Version 16.11.9, which can be found here
