proper use of ADMT and SidHistory turned on 1

I have a small project coming up.

I need to allow Extended permissions to migrated SID history on a Target OU between one site to another site.

Some questions here: do I need to create a one way trust for ADMT to initially work? or will it work without a trust? (probably not but need to be sure).

Also when setting up SID history for this target OU, is netdom the only way to run SID history settings?
