Proper Case 8.5 as CR9 is not converting to .Net Correctly

Apparently using the ProperCase from CR9 doesn’t convert correctly in .NET (my reports have failed as I have just learned that .NET is based on CR 8.5)
I have one field that has both first and last name sometimes it has a married couple Jim and Jane Doe, correcting the database is out of the question, What is another formula to bring this field to propercase. Examples in the database may be

jim johns
Joe Jackson
Lisa and Mike smith

PS a space may be in the field before the first name like the above example - Joe Jackson

What about when I have a merged name JohnSmith in the proper case, how would I separate the name
