How can I create 2 prompts in a Business report so the user needs to enter into only one prompt to retrieve results. eg.they can enter the Customer Code OR Customer Name.

Not, AFAIK.
A prompt can only relate to ONE object only.
What you can do is create a construction with 2 prompts that allows an 'ALL' selection for one and a specific one for the second.

I don't know about that. If both fields are character fields, you could simply use an OR to do this.

CustCode = @Prompt('enter code or name','a',,,,) OR
CustName = @Prompt('enter code or name','a',,,,)
