Hi,

I have a created a parameter say DeptNameparam and placed it in the report page header shown as ?DeptNameparam then used Select Expert option to assign this parameter to the respective field like DeptName = ?DeptNameparam but so to get the multiple DeptNames i have changed to
DeptName in ({?DeptNameparam}) and then won't displayed the multiple values.
I dont where am i doing wrong?

Thanks a lot,
Regards,

I have gone through the link and the best solutions they are.

But for my requirement i have selected the following and not helpmed out.
Am i doing wrong somewhere ,please correct me.

Multiple Discrete values separated by a comma:

join({?DeptNameparam},",")

from the Select Expert formula on DeptName field .
Please provide me some hints

Thanks a lot

Please be more specific, what results do you get when you use the Join function and place the formula in the page header ?

You should be creating the join formula in the formula expert (field explorer->formula->new), not in the record selection formula area.

Hi ,

SOrry did not help me of either.
But wanted to be more specific about what i need.

Created a dynamic parameter on DeptName field called as DeptNameparam (with option - multiple values) and then placed in the Page header.and then assigned that parameter to the DeptName field from Select Expert option like DeptName=?DeptNameparam (tried using IN operator also) to see the multiple values on the report from that prompt. But i am getting only one value out of muliple values.

Note:Join formula created using FieldExplorer>new>formula and then when placed in the page header resulted me FALSE.

Anything am i missing from you please?

Thanks

Go to report->selection formula->record and make sure you see:

{table.DeptName} = {?DeptNameparam}

Then check your join formula in the formula expert to make sure it is:

join({?DeptNameparm},",")

I tested this out an both aspects worked perfectly, using multiple values.
