I'm upsizing an existing Client/Server mdb app to ADP with SQL Server 2000.
I understand that MDW security is not used with ADPs, though I have retained my local System.MDW file for existing user accounts for other MDBs on my PC.
The problem is, when DoCmd.Transfertext is run in the ADP to import a CSV file into a table I am prompted to login via the usual Access login prompt. The import will only work if I enter a valid username and password from my MDW file! I only need to log in once, and subsequent imports happen without the prompt.
I've looked everywhere for related blogs without success and it's really starting to annoy me now. If an ADP doesn't use the MDW file how can it prompt me to log in? Any help greatly appreciated
