I was wondering if there was a way to prompt a user to input a value in SQL 2000 using views. In MS Access when you design a query you can put brackets around something in the criteria box (ex. [Enter Date]) and it would prompt a user to enter a date when the query is ran. In SQL when you are using the Enterprise manager to design a view that same criteria box is there and i was wondering if there was a way i could set it up so a user can input a value for some fields.

You have to handle this from your application. SQL Server does not create a front-end like Access does - it is purely a back-end database engine.
