Can anyone explain, or refer me to documentation, a step-by-step process of setting up a 'greeter' so when someone phones our main number 123456 they are greeted with 'press 1 for sales, 2 for accounts, 3 for support etc.

We have a mitel 3300 ICP. I'm quite competent with our Mitel System but havent managed to figure out how to do this yet.

Thanks in advance.

There are several methods available.

Assuming you are using Embedded mail as your answering position here are 2 viable options.

1 - Create single digit mailboxes 1, 2, 3 etc that have extensions that you wish to transfer to.
- accessable from all mailboxes and Auto-att
- Dial 1,2,3 etc is the same everywhere
- limited to 8 choices Max (9 is used for Names Directory)

2 - Integrate with a Menu Node Mailbox and configure dialing plan via Multi-level Autoattendant
- Dial 1,2,3 etc is uniqie to each instance
- Dial 1,2,3 etc each needs mailbox to direct call
- Cannot access Names Directory from Menu Node
- Very flexible and can have multiple levels

excellent, we used the menu node mailbox and it worked a treat.

thanks again
