Prompt Sort in CRXI

Hi,

I have created a prompt based on the Database column for the MonthYear in the report but when in report the sort order is not same as the Database column sort order and could not able to figured out to set it to origonal order.
Eg: Database Where as,Report Prompt
MonthYear MonthYear
========== =============
Sep,2005 Sep,2005
Aug,2005 Sep,2004
July,2005 Sep,2003
June,2005 Aug,2005
May,2005 Aug,2004
April,2005 Aug,2003
till Jan,2003

Anyways to get the origonal order or control it progrmatilly to see in the Prompt

Sorry, I can't understand what you want.

It appears that the database has a descending order sortation of a month/year, but you need to post specifics rather than make people guess.

What is the field type? Showing an interpreted output doesn't help.

I'd guess that you don't understand that sorting on a alphanumeric field does not mean that the database then knows to convert it to a date field just because you call it a month and year.

You can sort on an actual date field, and then use a formula or formatting of the date field to get that type of display.

If you have a alphanumeric representation of a month/year field, don't confuse it with having any intelligence, it does not, it's just letters and numbers and so it will sort as such.

You can create a formula to convert it back to a date or some such, but I won't waste time trying to guess at what you want.
