prompt-in-prompt ?? Is there a limit???

I'm told there isn't a limit to the number of prompt-in-prompt you can do; however, I haven't found anyone who has done more than a 2 level (inner prompt) and unanswered prompt. Has anyone ???

We're trying to capture retail product hierarchy levels where level 1 (Department) is unique but level 2 (SubDept), 3 (Class), 4 (SubClass), and 5 (Style) are not; therefore, you must "step down" through the levels. The users do not want a hierarchy prompt.

Haven't done it myself, but the MSTR Practical Usage for 7 document states:

Number of dependent prompts in a given report - Prompt in Prompt per server
practical limit 5
max tested 5

(This document is from May 2002, so may well be out of date (max 5 vs. unlimited?) but it is the only I know of freely available)
