Prompt for Start Date

I am very much a newbie.

I would like to add a field that prompts the user for a start date on a specific field "M0090_INFO_COMPLETED_DT"

The desired outcome would be to have no data reported before the specified start date.

Any help is very much appreciated!

Select Insert->Field Object->Right click Parameter Fields and select New. Name the parameter field Startdate and then set it as a type date (or datetime if you need that granularity).

Select Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record and place something like:

{table.M0090_INFO_COMPLETED_DT} >= {?Startdate}

Or you can just click and drag the {?startdate} parameter you created into the report header in design mode.

genen: that will prompt, but it won't limit the rows returned...
