Prompt For Download File

In HTML you can code a file browser to pick up a file to
upload with :-

<input type="file" size="50" name="file1">

Is there something similar for a download so a user can browse to a location and type in a file name for output?

I understand what you are trying to do. You are trying to re-create the Save Target As... function in MSIE or something similar. Am I correct? Hmm. That's a tough question. I would also post on some JavaScript and server-side scripting forums.

You can use asp/vbscript in windows to do this I think. Try asp forum.
