hello all,

i've a filter created to select a attribute say city...
i also have a prompt which helps the user select customer names where the display is restricted using city filter...

so when i use that in my report for the first time first it prompts for city... once a city is selected it displays all the customers from the city only.... but when i close and again execute it is not asking for city again instead goes directly to customer name selection box with the previous selected city a condition...

any help on how to make it ask both city and then customers from that city on each execution of the report...

also how do one give grand totals to a report from MS Web like in Desktop...

thanks

when you saved the report, did it say something like "reprompt"....if so you should choose reprompt everything.

there's a subtotals option in web 7i, i think it's under the data pull down menu.

when i save it from the grid view it asks for two choices

1. Static
2. Prompts
You will be re-prompted when this report is run again
1. Only filter will be prompted.
2. Only template will be prompted.
3. Filter and Template will be prompted.

I've chosen option 2 within that 3 and also unchecked
Keep the prompt answers for the report....

any help..

thanks

i would pick option 3...try that. if it still doesn't work, call tech support. also remember to clear your caches before you re-run your reports.
