promoting a 2003 R2 Svr to DC on a 2003 Standard domain

Ok, I see there is a similar post but want to vet my scenario anyways...one of our DC's crashed...now have just one DC running 2003 Standard Edition with SP1
A standby server I have is running 2003 Standard Edition R2 with SP2....when running DCPROMO it tells me I need to adprep the forest...I assume I need to use the ADPREP utility from CD2 of the 2003 R2 media on my only up and running DC?

Yes, that's the way you have to do.

Probably want to check and make sure your remaining DC has all the FSMO roles, if it doesnt seize them.
