promote a Citrix server to the fram

Hi,

How do we promote a citrix server to the farm? We have about 30 citrix servers in the farm....only two servers always have no users log on....I am guessing that they were demoted from the fram....how can I promote them to the fram? Thanks

If you want to just add your servers back to the farm you just simply need to reinstall Citrix on those servers.

If they already have Citrix on those servers and they are pointing to another farm...then you would run the chfarm command.

The easiest way is to just uninstall any instances of Citrix on those servers and then reinstall Citrix.
You will then run through the configuration of Citrix (ie...what farm, SQL configue..etc..etc) and it will join it to your farm.

It also could be something stupid like these servers don't host any published applications. Do they show-up in the CMC?

You could also use one of many cmd line utilities to diagnose your problem:
