Prolinat 800 onboard 80 pin ext. SCSI problem

Dear all

I have Prolinat 800 server with 80 pin external
SCSI port. Now I have connected external CD Writer to
this port.now when I start my server CD writer is detected
at starting screen but after my windows NT starts
The drive of cdwriter not showing.so what could be the
reason ??. Is extra driver to install on windows NT or
what ? Pl any one help me
