I have a Proliant 3000, P3-600. with the 3200 Smart Array Controller card currently running a Raid 5 array (6+1) of
9.1GB drives. OS is Redhat 6.2.
I have three open drive slots and would like to just stick this other 9.1 drive I have in there and let it go to work, but I have a feeling theres more to it than that.
Will it show up on it's own or will I have to partition/format then do the raidhotadd thingy.
(Please be gentle with me, I am a linux newbie and got thrown into Sysadmin when our last admin quit without notice. I'm normally just a CAD operator)
