Windows 2003 standard member server with 2 logical drives. the first logical drive is a 80GB SATA with the OS installed on it. the second logical drive is 4 500GB SATA drives striped in a RAID 5 configuration. The HP Storage Manager software shows all drives as optimal but the event viewer is showing that logical drive 2 on controller 1, the only the controller as stated above, is degraded. Fix before data loss occurs. I called HP and they said that if all the lights on the hard drives are green, then everything is fine and that it is probably a firmware issue with the controller. The only reason I worry about the issue is because the server rebooted today with no explanation. Just want to be proactive before something terrible happens. Any thoughts?
