Is there anything that would stop one from replaceing the 4.3GB drive in a Proliant 3000 drive sled (199598-001) with a larger drive? The electronis on the sled look dumb, so I am guessing there wouldn't, but I have been known to be wrong. I should be able to replace it with any 68pin LVD drive, no? What would happen if I replaced the drive with one not specifically lables (Hot Plug), is there really any diffrence?

What about a SCA drive with an 80pin SCA to 68pin LVD converter, is there any drawbacks to using one?
