Hi,
I have proliant dl380 server and have a problem with disc arrays and boot order. This is my state: I have 2 18,2 GB discs in RAID 1 (ID0, ID1) and one 9,1 GB (ID2) in internal server bay. This runs fine. But if I want to connect external SUN disc array with four HDDs in RAID 5 (ID9 - ID12), there is the probleme here. If I connect it to external SCSI connector, server starts booting from this array instead of the internal bay. Created array of this external disks is eg. in array conf utility showed as Array A and the others as B and C.

any ideas how to make server booting from regular drive?

What are you using to discover the SUN array? Is there an OS on the Sun array? Do you have HP Array Configuration Utility loaded?

I'm using integrated Compaq RAID array controller, HP Array Configuration Utility too. I tried to make chnges in boot order, but I can't choose concrete drive, but only frive letter

now i have different problem :) I used system erase utility to erase all data. then with smartstart CD 5.50 started new installation. Everythink went fine, language, time and OS setup, array configuration, system partition is installed too. But if i want to start installation of win2k server, it goes wrong. System begins starting from installation CDrom and shows "Couldn't initialize memory". I'm not able to run win setup program because of this error. What does it mean?
