Howdy!
I just received a proliant 7000. This is its config:
(4) 500mhz Pen III Xeon CPUs with 1meg cache, 100mhz bus.
Stepping matches on all CPUs.
1gig of RAM (Four 256meg modules).
(2) Power supplies.
(12) 18gig 10,000rpm drives (All Seagate ST118202LC OEMed to Compaq).
Compaq 3100ES RAID controller.
Compaq Netelligent 10/100 TX PCI NIC.
Compaq 35/70 GB DLT (Quantum 7000) see note below.
I want to install RH linux 7.3 (or 9.0 if need be). My version of SmartStart is 5.4 but it ONLY offers WIN2000 or NOVEL under OS Options ...
Should I follow and do it manually or is there a verision of SmartStart or other (easier) alternative?
Thank you all in advance for your assistance!
