Proliant 1600 problems after adding second processor

I recently added a second processor to my Proliant 1600. This was a painful process as merely changing the HAL to ACPI multiprocessor caused my computer not to boot at all. I have the latest BIOS and I went into the system config and selected > enable ACPI - Full Table. I guess I should add I am running Win2K Advanced Server. I booted from the Win2k cd and did an install/repair pressing F7 to make Windows pick the right HAL. I had to do this several times as the install never seemed to want to finish. It finally worked and now I have a working dual processor system (the HAL it picked was MPS Multiprocessor PC). Now for the problem.....Terminal Services does not work although it shows that it is running and the embedded PCI SCSI controller does not work. When I run the Sytem Config utility, it gives me an error:

The operating system reported a failure of the overlay (ovl) file associated with the board being added to the system. The board will not be added

Configuration file name: 1000000f.pcf
Overlay file name: cpq440p.ovl

Has anyone seen this? Is there a way to force that board to be added? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
