Hello Peeps

Right heres the play

Proliant 1600
2x PIII 500mhz CPU's
6x 18.2gb drives
1gb Ram
Win2k platform

Having trawled this site and reading the knowledge base at micro$oft we cannot get the server to boot into win2k when selecting the 2nd cpu (at install and pressing F5 and manually selecting multiprocessor).

the machine starts fine and shows both processors.

it works fine whe nwin2k is left to install on it's own (but it only selects one processor).

Changing the CPU's over makes no difference (apart from confirming to me that nether CPU is bust)

So what say you ??

An Idiots guide to Installing Win2K so it utilises the 2nd processor (anyone ???)

Open hardware tab from system properties.
Device manager
expand Computer
then right click the item under it...
driver
update driver and select mps driver...

that should do the trick...
