I have an old Proliant 1500 with dual P166's running Win2k Advanced Server that I am using as a web and ftp server and while it does it's job pretty well it's awfully slow. I know that there is a dual PPro 200 upgrade board available for this server however it costs more money that I really want to spend on this old server (even when they're up for auction on ebay they are going for about $250). So what I am wondering is if anyone has had any luck putting the old Intel overdriver processors in one of these servers. I can get 2 200mhz overdrive processors for about $25 each. Will this boot the performance of this server? Will they even work in this server? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I know a former place I worked in did do this on the 1500's and 1000's and did not have any bad side-effects.
